It is getting chilly outside, at least where I am here in NJ. So I've added these hip new beanie skull caps by Cade Christian. Cade Christian makes the most hipest and trendiest caps out there. Not only do they have trucker hats and military hats, but now they have come out with the new skull beanie.

Seeds by Corky and Company Car Seat Cozy Blanket and Hat
A lot of people are familiar with great boutique coats made by Corky and Company. Well they also have a line for infants called Seeds. I myself thought it was a cute name. Well we have one of their products available in our store.
It is the Car Seat Cozy. Basically, it is a blanket that zips around the infant car seat.
It is a great sports theme and also comes with a brown hat.
This is the only one I have available and with the weather getting chilly, I thought to post it here. This would make a great baby shower gift.
What I love most about these is that it eliminates you from putting your baby in a stuffy coat while your in the car. Imagine trying to put your baby with a coat thru those car seat straps. I used this with my second child and recommend it for all new moms.

My little 3yrd old...
I feel the need to write about my 3 year old today. He started pre-school this year and though he is gone every day for only 3 hours, I do miss him. But when he comes home he is so happy and excited about his day and what he learned. I love when I ask him what he did and he'll start singing songs he learned or tell me something that he did outside, by jumping or touching the floor. He was accepted in the school's speech program, and in a week I have already noticed an increase in words and clarity in his speaking.
Once he's home, he eats his lunch, then he goes down for a nap, til it's time to pick up his big brother from school. So it's almost like he is not home with me at all during the day. I'm not used to this and find it difficult to do things I "need" to do like, laundry, bills, grocery shopping, cleaning and all that other stuff that I could only squeeze in because my sons wanted to play or go somewhere. I used to do it all with some kind of interuption, but now, it's just too darn quiet. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the peacefulness, but I do miss the noise.

First day of school!
Well, today was the first day of school for both my 6 year old and my 3 year old.
I could not believe how excited they both were to start 1st grade and pre-school. I remember when my older son started preschool he cried for 2 months. By my younger son, just waved goodbye and started playing right away. I was so happy to see him adjust so easily but sad to know he is not a baby but a growing boy who one day will be a man. I hope I did a good job raising him while he has been home with me. Although he has many more years to go with mom and dad helping him out at home, I hope that he learns a lot in school and that his own personality will grow as well as his independence.
Now that I have a bit of "free time" everyday, I hope to start adding more products to My Lil Guyz so keep checking often.

New line of Wee Squeak Shoes
Wee Squeak Shoes has come out with a new line of shoes for boys called the Combo.
They are made of canvas with leather trim. They velcro for easy on and off and come in navy, black and brown.
We've just added them to out store.
These make great shoes for new walkers because they squeak. You son will love the sound of his feet each time he takes a step.
But not to worry, the squeaking mechanism comes out if you decided to remove them.

New Additions to our store
I've just listed a few toddler backpacks. These are the smaller backpacks that are great for pre-school or daycare in boys favorite heroes such as spiderman, batman, and lightning mcqueen.
I've also had potty training on the mind because I'm still trying to get my 3 year old to go. Some days good, others not so good. Some people say, don't use a toddler toilet, others swear by it. Right now, he uses the toddler toilet, he is just too scared to go on the big potty.
Anyway, I came across this great addition to our potty training isle. It is called the WeeMan Urinal by Potty Scotty Basically it attaches to the big toilet and makes it easy for little boys to pee standing up.
I figured this is safer than having to stand on a step stool for little guys to go pee. What a great idea. Once I can get my little guy to go consistently, then I may give this WeeMan a try.

Well, I'm enjoying a nice and quiet day alone so far. My boys are at my parents house because last night we went to a NY Jets football game and knew we would get back late. They live about 45 minutes from us.
My husband had to work, so now I'm just waiting to hear from him on whether or not I should drive down to pick them up or wait for him, so we don't have to go in 2 cars. Not yet sure what we will be doing; dinner, great adventure, the beach, I don't know.
But one thing I know for sure, I do enjoy the peace and quiet but I do miss the noise. This was my sons' first sleep over and feels quite weird not having them here.
I guess as much as I say I need a break from them, they are a part of me, and feel bored with out them. They did call and my 3 year old sang happy birthday to me. They sound like such angels over the phone. I wonder how my parents are holding up with the both of them, LOL.

Halloween Costumes
So I found someone to work on a new look for our store. So hopefully within the next few weeks or so, you will see a brand new My Lil Guyz :)
Also, in a few days or so, I will start adding Halloween costumes for infants and toddlers. If you are like me, I shop early for these. Usually by September, I already have my boys costumes because I always try to do something with them together and if I wait til last minute then I can't find this or that. So I just get it done and over with early and cross my fingers that my boys don't change their mind before then.
I have a very small amount of larger kids sizes in pirates and I think 1 in batman dark knight but the majority are infants and toddler sizes.

Makeover for my store
Sorry for not posting anything new lately. I have been online quite a lot searching for companies to redo my store. Just trying to get price quotes etc. I'll have to admit I have not found anything I like so far. Many all ready made templates are geared to the girly girl store, or they are just too plain. Custom made stores are extremely price, especially for small companies like myself.
If anyone knows of a good company that make creative templates, please send me their name or website. Hopefully I can get My Lil Guyz a brand new look ;)
