Recycled items are our gently used clothing and toys.
Why fill our landfills with these things, when we can recycle them! How did I decide to start with recycling toys and clothes. Well, if your kids are anything like mine and have a hard time parting with their loved toys, even when they have outgrown them, then you need to come up with ideas of how to get rid of them and make some extra cash. Ok, so yard sale, your thinking right? Well, right now, baby it's cold outside. In addition to, well, I don't like strangers roaming around my property.
So, I promised my son, who is 5, that if he sells any of his old toys to other children, then he will get the money in his piggy bank. That's right! He gets the money. So in a sense, I'm teaching him the value of money as well as letting go of things he no longer needs.
